I recently had the opportunity to do a photo shoot at an all-inclusive hotel in Playa Matapalo, Costa Rica, the same place where I started my career as a tourism photographer. The experience was a mix of nostalgia and gratitude, and I want to share it with you.
A journey to the past
When I arrived at the hotel, a wave of memories washed over me. It was the same place where, years ago, I had taken my first steps as a tourist photographer. I remembered walking along Matapalo beach with my camera, eager to capture the joy of people enjoying their vacation. Those moments were fundamental in forging my passion and skills in photography.
The Photo session
This time my target was a beautiful family who had come to enjoy their vacation. From the first moment, the connection was magical. Children playing in the sand, parents embracing as the sun set, every moment seemed perfect to capture. The combination of the warm sunset light and the genuine happiness of the family created the perfect atmosphere for unforgettable photographs.
Time travel
While photographing the family, I couldn't help but feel like I was traveling back in time. Every click of the camera took me back to those early days when everything was new and exciting. I remembered the lessons learned, the challenges overcome, and the countless hours spent perfecting my craft. Seeing how my style and technique had evolved filled me with pride and satisfaction.
Playa Matapalo, a special place
Playa Matapalo has always had a special place in my heart. Not only for being the setting of my first works, but also for its beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Every visit to this beach is an opportunity to rediscover its charm and capture unique moments. I hope this photo shoot will be one of many more.
Gratitude and Expectations
This experience made me reflect on the road I have traveled and the people I have met throughout my career. I am grateful for every opportunity, every client, and every photo taken. It fills me with excitement to think about future photo shoots in Playa Matapalo and other wonderful locations.
